Isn’t it fascinating how a picture, a few words or a piece of art can make you feel a certain type of way? As humans, we search for avenues to express ourselves - to voice our thoughts, dreams, aspirations and feelings. As humans, we also feel a sense of belonging, a connection with another when we read or see something that speaks our own feelings. It feels comforting to know that another simply understands. That is the power of art, of poetry! ❤️

Meet Masood Tahir: a marvellous and MAJORLY talented illustrator from South London. The eldest son of two Pakistani immigrants who came to this country looking for better opportunities for their family 🇵🇰 Opportunities they unfortunately never had in their youth. With this heavy responsibility, Masood shares how he struggled at times with finding balance in trying to be the positive role model for younger siblings, while also attempting to achieve personal goals! . • Like for many of us, Masood’s creativity is his form of escapism. In his spare time (when he’s not hiding in his cave painting all day) Masood produces music - “it is a personal hobby and an outlet I use to keep myself from imploding dramatically” 🎧 . • Read @mastahgram’s interview in issue 15 > LINK IN BIO 📲 • Remember! All you have to do is click on the contents page [ Masood Tahir 🎨 ] ✨ - it’s easy 😮
